I am the Executive Director at a local nonprofit here in Albuquerque, Mandy’s Farm. We support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live, work and learn in our community. I have worked with individuals with disabilities for over 25 years and I love and support the mission of our organization. I love to share the work we do with others, call me for a tour! Outside of work, I LOVE being a mom to our twin 4 year old boys! My partner and I enjoy our little family and spend every moment we can together having fun. You can find us swimming, going on adventure walks, watching baseball or visiting with family and friends.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am Aidan and Rian’s mom. They are our twin 4 year old boys. I have been with my partner for over 10 years and when we aren’t busy with the kiddos, we enjoy going to a great concert or playing a round of golf.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
My whole career has been dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Unfortunately, the disability community continues to face significant barriers in supportive housing, economic opportunities and inclusion in our community. There has been many improvements, however I will continue to share my advocacy and work along side this community for the remaining of my career.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My children. I hope to inspire them to be active members of their community and to be kind to others.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
Born and raised in Albuquerque with short stints in Colorado and Vermont.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Secretary Deb Haaland. She has come to volunteer at our non profit and also worked with the disability community. Proud to have a New Mexican as Secretary of the Interior.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Work hard, be kind, have fun!

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
So much travel! Portugal and Peru are two of my bucket list items at the moment.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I can ski backwards!
